I think that all this technology has the chance to improve our world. But I have some concern about the capability of humans to wisely managed it. Maybe it is because I am an aged European, but it seems to me that while our technology is order of magnitudes above that of ancient Greeks and Romans, our wisdom is not. Human instincts and reactions did not evolve so fast, as everyday news demonstrate. Anyway do not stop technology, but manage it at best ! 
Finally, All Saints Day is not so less famous than Halloween on this side of the Atlantic Ocean !
